October update

I can't believe it is October and we've been a family of 4 for 8 months already!
All is well here. The girls are growing and thriving and we thank God daily for them and each other.

Tianna is expanding her vocabulary. In addition to "Ma!" (which means "more"), she says "da!" ("dog") and "da" (which, when accompanied by sign language, means "thank you"). She is repeating words we say to her a lot more now. She also reads books to us in her own language which is very fun to hear. She has fallen in love with Kobi. She likes to share food with her, pet her and basically lay on her.

Alexia is loving 2nd grade. I think she mostly loves her teacher, Mrs. Poole, who has a baby in her tummy. She is due in February and Alexia is enjoying following the progress. Alexia is also enjoying piano. She got to play in front of her whole class during music class while all the kids sang along to "Ooga Booga". And we started Awana a couple of weeks ago at our church. That has been lots of fun for Alexia and Mommy (who got to lead her group last week as a substitute leader).

Tom and I are doing well. Enjoying our girls, the fall weather and trying not to stress about the economy and the upcoming election.

Here's a few recent photos:

Alexia and Tianna are modeling their Mei Mei (little sister) / Jie Jie (big sister) T-shirts given to us by our good friends, the Nordells. The rose bushes are in full bloom in October (who'da thunk?). Here's our girls in their pretty dresses after church last Sunday taking time to smell the flowers...
